Faith-Based Care and Education for Infants to Preschoolers

St. Lorenz School offers nurturing and comprehensive childcare services for children from infancy through preschool. Our programs include care for infants aged 6 weeks to 12 months, waddlers from 12 to 24 months, toddlers approximately 18 months to 3 years, and preschoolers up to kindergarten. Before and after school care is available, along with a summer program, for our school-aged children. Available from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, our childcare services are designed to strengthen your child’s faith in Jesus Christ through daily experiences of God’s love. We maintain high educational standards integrated with the teachings of God’s Word, ensuring the development of the whole child. In our Christ-centered environment, we focus on fostering Christian character, helping your child grow into a confident and compassionate individual ready to serve and lead in their community.

Infants are drawn to environments and people who communicate with them by providing an overall sense of emotional warmth and safety. That is what we try to provide at St. Lorenz for families who need a “home away from home” for their baby!  This room has a ratio of 1 caregiver per 3 children (lower than the ratio required by licensing) with a max group size of 12. 

Waddlers are a very inquisitive bunch! That’s why it is so important for parents and caregivers to stimulate meaningful play with this age group by singing and reading to them and encouraging them to explore their environment. In this way, our caregivers are taking an active role in their cognitive development. This room has a ratio of 1 caregiver per 4 children with a max group size of 12.

Toddlers are a very energetic group! It is important to stimulate meaningful play with this age group by singing and reading to them and encouraging them to explore their environment. Our caregivers are continually structuring the environment based on children’s needs and interests, allowing plenty of time and opportunity for them to explore each area. This room has a ratio of 1 caregiver per 4 children with a max group size of 12.

Our caregivers establish positive and caring relationships with our preschoolers and their families to provide the optimal conditions for growth. Our daily schedule and classroom environment is intentionally planned to provide many opportunities for children to learn and grow beyond their preschool classrooms. In this, we hope our program promotes development and enhances the learning of each child who attends. This room has a ratio of 1 caregiver to 10/12 children (depending on age) with a max group size of 30.

Our Before and After School Care program is designed to continue learning beyond the classroom by providing planned activities, leadership and group-work opportunities, and a fun and relaxed environment for children to engage with their peers. Our caregivers build positive relationships with our school-age children while providing guidance and support and challenging them to strengthen their developing skills. These rooms have a ratio of 1 caregiver to 18 children, with a max group size of 36 children.

Enrollment in our childcare program is open year-round. Since spaces fill up quickly, please inform us of your childcare needs as soon as possible.
