St. Lorenz Lutheran School is accredited by National Lutheran School Accreditation, the Michigan District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, the Michigan Association of Non-Public Schools, and AdvancEd Accreditation.
St. Lorenz Lutheran School is structured according to the State of Michigan’s required standards of elementary education. This applies to all subject areas to be taught, the recommended time allotments to the various subjects, the number of school days for classes to be in session, and the physical facilities of the school. The child accounting regulations and attendance reports are administered in accordance with, and through, the office of the Saginaw County Board of Education and the Frankenmuth School District Superintendent’s office (the local agencies to administer the directives of the State of Michigan). Therefore, the transfer of our students is approved and an entrance test to another school is not required.
National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA) serves as the accrediting body for Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod (LCMS) schools across the United States and globally. Since 1987, NLSA has accredited schools based on their compliance with national standards that reflect the essential qualities expected of Lutheran schools.
